On October 6, 2006, CMDF announced the appointment of JovInvestment Management Inc. ("JovInvestment") as the new Investment Advisor to the Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund.

Michael Cross, MBA, Ph.D
Michael is Senior Vice President, Venture Investments and has more than 6 years of venture capital experience in life sciences. Dr. Cross also has a wide range of operational experience as COO, Managing Director and Vice-President positions in several public and private companies in the health sciences sector where he was instrumental in helping to build value and liquidity for shareholders.
Donna Parr, MA-IR, MBA
Donna is Senior Vice President, Venture Investments and has over 20 years of experience in venture capital, merchant banking, private equity, and corporate banking. Ms. Parr helped found and is currently active in AceTech Ontario (the Academy of Technology CEOs) and Canadian Women in Private Equity, and is on the Research Committee and the Board of the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation
Hemanth J. Varghese, BSc(Hons), Ph.D.
Hemanth is Assistant Vice President & Senior Investment Analyst. Prior to joining Jove, he was the Director of Pre-clinical Imaging & Corporate Development at the Robarts Research Institute with a focus on corporate partnerships in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics sectors. Hemanth has a strong track record in the commercialization of novel Canadian healthcare technologies, and has had a large role in structuring corporate deals with several major healthcare companies.
Benjamin Matthews, BSc(Hons), MS
Ben is a Senior Investment Analyst for CMDF. Prior to joining Jove, Ben spent several years at UBC’s Industry Liaison Office managing a biotechnology portfolio and licensing numerous technologies from UBC to local and multinational biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Ben is a member of BCBiotech, the Licensing Executives Society, and the Association of University Technology Managers. Prior to UBC, Mr. Matthews was a consultant for CIHR, Millennium Research Group and the Hospital for Sick Children.
